It's been 4 years since Cleft released new music through our label. That being the case, we're super excited to be releasing the latest LP from lylas, 'Warm Harm.' It's a radical departure from their familiar neo-gothic folk/alt country pop stylings and we genuinely believe it to be their best work yet. There's even a Billy Idol cover. So what's been going on during the hiatus? Building out our new location! We've put every available penny into our commercial recording studio and art space at the 444 Humphreys building in the Wedgewood Houston arts district of Nashville. A lot of changes have come and gone since then- especially at the new location. Development in the neighborhood has moved at lightning pace. It took over 2 years to develop the L&N Railroad building we acquired in 2011, but things really started taking off in the fall of 2013. As of 2017, the 444 building hosts Cleft Music, the Julia Martin Gallery, Electra Eggleston textile designs, as well as Reel Recording in the big control room downstairs. Come visit on any 1st Saturday Arts and Music of Wedgewood/Houston arts walk. And the pop up gallery on the deck is viewable 24/7.
